23 Jul 2014 Faisalabad: Annual Picnic for Khanwada-e-Shohada-e-Millat-e-Jaffaria Pakistan Much like all other regions of Pakistan, the faisalabad`s region`s working committee, managed an elaborate program as part of Shaheed Foundation Pakistan`s vision of providing healthy recreational activities to the children of martyrs as annual picnic for families of martyrs of faisalabad.
These recreational activities are hinged on providing opportunity of constructive engagement to the youth, children, elderlies belonging to the families of martyrs of Millat-e-Jaffaria Pakistan. In children and youth, the insight gained through such interactions and exposure to the society is really an important factor in their overall personality development as well as their stronger integration within the community and outside. The working brothers of faisalabad took a unique initiative and set the precedent by arranging a kind of marathon three day picnic, based on recreational visits to several resorts and lovely areas in the potohar belt as well as Azad Kashmir.
The journey started on 26th June 2014 at 5.30 a.m after Fajr prayers.

All families were served with a sumptuous break-fast. Families reached their destination, the federal capital Islamabad after travelling for five hours.
Firstly, they visited Lok Virsa. Lok Virsa is a place where different historical artifacts as well as antiquities regarding our cultures and society have been skillfully preserved.
The purpose of this visit was to give children an exposure regarding the history, culture, values and traditions of the areas which now constitute the beloved country.
This museum also has detailed accounts of Pakistan movement and several valuable pre-partition evidences.

Lunch was laid out in the honour of the dignified families of martyrs in a local restaurant of Islamabad right after the Zuhr prayers.

After lunch, the next phase of journey began to culmiate to the final destination - Muree.
A hotel was booked here for stay and relaxing after a tiring journey. Next day, soon after the Breakfast was served, families were guided to the Mall
Walking of elders, chirping of birds, running of children, chanting of slogans were creating a sense of enjoyment among the families. Lunch was offered at Usmania restaurant.

After getting done with Maghrib prayers, a session was initiated and the topic was, "Shahadat humara virsa" and the day ended. On the 2nd day of stay here, the caravan left for Ayubia and Nathiagali and by Lunch Ayubia was reached. The lunch at Ayubia quickly followed visiting the neighbourhoods and then for a very short span, the families were accompanied to Nathiagali, another breath-taking beauty of Pakistan`s landscape.
The weather was cold but Calm. The children were enthralled by this experience; they never thought that this surprise would be so beautiful and unique. On the 3rd day, families went to visit Neelum lake and then in Pitriata, a meeting was arranged with the brothers of central committee. They all had lunch together and allow informal discussions among various brothers of Shaheed Foundation Pakistan.
Kohala is a point located nearby Neelum point. This place is quite close to Muzaffarabad, Kashmir. However, the weather was mild and hot. The beauty of this place was the nature which was appealing and created attraction amongst everyone`s mind.
In Patriata, members of central committee accorded a warm welcome to the visiting families of martyrs and working members.
In Patriata, cable cars and chair lifts are installed, which is a hearty enjoyment especially for children and youth as you hover over the valley tens of feet above it.

Children really enjoyed the event as the experience was indeed a unique one, almost three days were passed and constantly they were getting amused as they visited different areas. Families and central committee members had a cordial meal together. This informal gathering was very encouraging and the constant exchange of views and ideas with families and working members, which has been the hall-mark of the organization, infact is strongly hinged on these informal consultations and engagements which help the institution work with the dynamism, it has so far exhibited.
They departure from Patriata to go back to their homes in Faisalabad. And finally the 3-day tour came to an end leaving beautiful imprints on the memories of everyone.
