'Friday of Oppressed' Being Observed Countrywide to Express Solidarity With the Oppressed Momineen
Friday is being observed across the country as the Juma-e-Mustaz'afeen or the Friday of Oppressed to record protest against continuing attrocities being afflicted upon momineen of Pakistan particularly the recent targetted martyrdom of momineen in Dera Ismail Khan,Parachinar,Peshawar and Karachi.
Allama Raja Nasir Abbas who is spearheading the recent campaign started a hunger strike nearly a week ago in front of national press club Islamabad and has been joined by Ulema-e-Karam belonging to various schools of Islam from across Pakistan .
Symbolic camps in other parts of Pakistan have also been installed to express solidarity with Allama Raja Nasir Abbas .
The impetus to protest was further given when Imamia Students Organization Pakistan's central president announced complete and whole hearted support to the campaign run by ulema and instructed the workers to participate in protests across Pakistan.
In a rare move, the residents of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi decided to offer friday prayers at one spot in Islamabad.
Momineen from adjoining areas have converged and performing azadari-e-Imam-e-Mazloom[AS] and paying tribute to martyrs of Karbala.
