Almost sixty six years have passed when the God-gifted state namely Pakistan had come into being. This country is, undoubtedly, a divine blessing for the Muslims of South Asia. To view this state as a divine gift does not mean that this Islamic state came into existence without the sacrifices of the Muslim masses living in the region. No, it is not the case. Rather we have achieved this country after the huge sacrifices of our forefathers. But at the same time we should realize that the unprecedented success in the face of Pakistan that our elders have achieved was many times greater than the efforts made for it. In this sense we call Pakistan a God-gifted state.
When the British Empire occupied India in 19th century Muslims were on the seat of power that time . Under the Muslim rule there was a fairly good atmosphere of tolerance, mutual understanding and cooperation. But British men replaced Muslims by force and disturbed the communal harmony of united India. English men penetrated the Indian Society under the pretext of trade & commerce and shrewdly dethroned Muslims from the power ,ofcourse taking advantage of some of intrinsic weaknesses of the system. British Empire thus succeeded in its nefarious design. However, Muslims were not at rest with the dominance of Britain in their country as they were the target of British ruling elites in the various fields of life especially in economic, educational and cultural fields. Muslims were being marginalized in every field at the hands of English ruling elites .This situation was very tragic for Muslims because they had offered a lot of sacrifices in the development of India. India was known as a golden bird in the world due to its congenial environment for trade and natural resources. Muslims traditionally had good sense of freedom. Muslims like Hider Ali and Tipu Sultan had bravely resisted against the occupation of Britain. Their heroic resistance is still fresh in the memory of people of India subcontinent. However, the thoughtful leaders of the Muslims tried their best to bring Muslims out of their misery but finally reached on the conclusion that English occupiers and their Hindu ally will never give Muslims a dignified role in the Indian polity.
Consequently, Allama Iqbal offered the ideology of Pakistan as a solution of the South Asian Muslims .This ideology was very appealing for the Muslim leaders and masses. Thus the Muslims of South Asia started their movement for the formation of Pakistan under the dynamic leadership of Quaid-E-Azam Muhammed Ali Jinnah and eventually achieved their objective on 14th August 1947.
But today Pakistan is in deep turmoil ,enemies are using the anti-national and corrupt elements to destabilize Pakistan who are actually the puppets of their western imperial masters.
It would not be here out of context to mention that Shia Muslims played a leading role in the formation of Pakistan. The leader of Pakistan Quad-e-Azam was himself a Shia Muslim. Besides, there were many Shia Muslims who were the leaders of Pakistan movement including Raja Saheb Mahmoodabad. Even Allama Iqbal who offered the ideology of Pakistan was the staunch admirer of infallible Imams of Ahlulbait (peace be upon them).
So the slogan of Pakistani Shia Muslims that "We had built Pakistan and will also save it" is quite harmonious with reality.
