A SUICIDE bomber ripped through a crowd outside a Shia masjid south of Islamabad yesterday, killing at least 25 mominin and wounding dozens more.
On Saturday night in Islamabad, a Taliban suicide bomber penetrated a paramilitary camp in a wealthy residential area, killing six soldiers and two civilians.
According to reports received , a teenage boy dressed in black tried to force his way through a crowd of about 2,000 people gathered outside an Imambargah. After security guards challenged him, he blew himself up.
The blast scattered body parts across a wide area outside the Imambargah. Fedayeen al-Islam,an offshoot of yazidi taliban claimed the attack.
The explosion in Chakwal, 80km from the capital, happened as the country reeled from a week-end of renewed Taliban violence that underscored how the struggle for control of Pakistan is penetrating deeper into the country.
“This is very serious,” said Ayaz Amir,a renowned writer and an MP for Chakwal, “Now the war is coming to Punjab'.
“Something has changed,” said Raza Rumi, an analyst and blogger from Lahore. “Prior to the release of the video (swat's flogging) the right-wing media led people to believe the Taliban was a reaction to American drone attacks. Now a lot of people are scared.”
A spokesman for Fedayeen al-Islam, a shadowy organisation linked to the Taliban and responsible for last September’s bombing of the Marriott hotel in Islamabad, said the bombing was part of a “campaign against infidels”.
Some 2,000 to 2,500 people were attending the religious gathering, when the blast occurred tearing away the bodies of the faithful into pieces. The death toll is feared to rise as most of the injured are said to be in critical condition.
'Sectarian violence against the Shia population in Pakistan is on the rise. In early February, at least 35 Shias were killed and 50 others were injured after a bomb exploded in the town of Dera Ghazi Khan in the central Punjab province.
In mid February, some 35 Shias were killed and 65 others were injured after a bomb ripped through a Shia Muslim leader's funeral procession on in the northwestern town of Dera Ismail Khan.
The extremists groups have embarked on an 'ominous mission' to 'eliminate' Shia elites across Pakistan -- which became a safe haven for pro-Taliban and al-Qaeda-linked militants after the US-led invasion of Afghanistan in 2001. ' wrote a leading news agency.
There were moving scenes as the blast killed or wounded all those who were about to enter the Imambargah to attend a Majlis.
Eyewitnesses said the attacker, said to be aged between 15 and 17, detonated his suicide jacket when he was stopped at the gate of the Imambargah, located in the heart of the city.
‘I saw a teenage boy trying to enter the Imambargah. One of the guards of the Imambargah got hold of him. The suicide bomber then raised his arms and blew himself up,’ eyewitness Wahid Ahmed told leading English Daily Dawn. efforts to get the wounded to hospital.’
President Asif Ali Zardari ‘strongly condemned’ the bombing and ordered authorities to find the perpetrators and punish them.
Hezbollah condemned on Monday the heinous bombing crime that targeted a mosque in Pakistan and led to dozens of victims Martyred and wounded.
In a statement it released, Hezbollah said the crime was a sinful attempt aimed at instilling sedition between Muslims to create discord within their ranks, hence an easy prey to the enemies.
The Resistance party asserted that such crimes only serve the enemies of the Islamic nation in Pakistan and the world. It called on the Pakistani authorities to invest maximum efforts to apprehend the perpetrators of these crimes and bring them to justice in order to prevent their recurrence.
Notably ,this is not the first time that the attrocities of this magnitude have been inflicted upon the Millat-e-Jaffaria Pakistan . The continued rise of yazidi extremism under the banners of Taliban ,al-qaeda , fidayeen-e-Islam and other such shadowy brand names has resulted in barbaric terrorist attacks against the Mazloom millat-e-jaffaria Pakistan .
But the security apparatus of the country and the law-enforcing agencies who themselves have often remained another prime target of the yazidi terrorists seem to be totally help-less.
Assurances are given to catch the culprits and bring them to book from higher-ups immediately after any incident takes place ,pseudo theories are circulated holding little water.
Committees are formed to investigate which can at best be described as ' Collection of un-willing ,chosen from the unfit ,to do the un-necessary' . Hence neither the reports or observations are ever made public nor any criminal is subjected to trials and punishment .
Who on earth can believe that the same efficient apparatus which is quick to hand-over its own citizens to the western powers on one pretext or the other ,can not even track down the FM Channel of 'mullah radio' of Swat spitting venom ,challenging the writ of the government and preaching hatred for last six years , a leading columnist pointed out in an English daily.
The remarks of CJ to the interior secretary while making a hearing on the flogging issue in Swat are eye -openers as well as also make things abundantly clear.
It is hard to comprehend that the apparatus which is quick to manhandle CJ/Judges and confine them to their homes at the behest of dictatorial regimes fails to come down heavily on a handful of yazidis.
Brazen violations of human rights are taking place in the troubled North Western part of the country in the name of a so-called self styled Sharia'.
A zionist conspiracy in collaboration with local yazidis, which aims to present such an ugly picture of the religion Islam to simple folks across the world that even common muslim would start hating the very name of Islam & Sharia.
Battle-hardened ,foreign -fed and locally administered yazidis have now gathered so much courage that they are looking to extend their influence beyond NWFP . Not by debates ,not by discussions and Consensus and Not by ballot either.
Yes , the gun-toting yazidis now look to point their guns and cannons and artilleries on the innocent muslims particularly Shias and Ahlul Bayt Loving Sunnis, inhabiting other comparably less affected parts of the country.
It can not be ruled out that some rogue elements within the ranks and files of the local administrations may have a covert understanding with these enemies of Islam and Pakistan giving them a blank cheque to go out and impose their whims & Wishes on the dear people of the beloved country in the name of Sharia.
