In a hurriedly called press conference Ulema-e-Karam belonging to Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen claimed that no prior notification was issued by the political agent spelling out prohibition of outsiders in Parachinar.
Eye witness momineen claimed that while protest was just a peaceful sit-in,the Frontier Constabulary, officials first resorted to aerial firing to disperse the crowd and then started firing directly on to the protestors.

Ulema Karam also observed that Parachinar momineen are Pakistan loving and have tolerated sponsored lashkar kashi of taliban and an enforced five year siege, but never took up arms against the law enforcement forces ,implicitly referring to various occassions on which Sunni-dominated tribal populations of other agencies like the Khyber,North and South Waziristan have attacked the FC and law enforcers and have almost been waging a war against them for a decade or so,in utter dis-regard of laws that govern the tribal areas .
The tribal elders of Parachinar were of the view that the incident is a deliberate and routine attempt by rogue elements within the FC to instigate parachinar momineen against state institutions and called for immediate and impartial enquiry into the sad incident to bring the perpetrators to book .
