Yaum-e-Ali [AS] Commemorated Countrywide With Religious Fervour.
Yaum-e-Shahada-e-Maula Ali KarramullaahWajhu was commemorated counrtyrwide with religious fervour and Alhamdulillah unlike recent years this Yaum-e-Ali[AS] remained peaceful with no major incident taking place.
Processions were taken out in all big cities including the federal capital Islamabad and provinicial capitals Karachi,Lahore,Quetta and Peshawar besides a large number of towns and cities across the length and breadth of the country. Tens of millions of Shia muslims as well as Sunni muslims besides devotees of Maula Ali from christian ,hindu and other non -muslim communities turned up on the occassion to pay tribute to Amir-il-Momineen Imam Ali Ibn-e-Abi Talib AS.
In Parachinar and Dera Ismail Khan a curfew was imposed which was relaxed for mourners only . In most areas of Pakistan the cellular services remained disrupted in view of security threats as a lot of terrorist activities in the recent past had been seen in which improvised explosives devices were remotely detonated using cell phones .
In Karachi the main procession of martyrdom of Imam Ali (as) passed through its traditional route i.e. Nishter Park, Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto Road, Father Jaminis Road, MA Jinnah Road, Mainsfield Street, then again MA Jinnah Road, Boulton Market, Rampart Row Road, Nawab Mahabat Khanjee Road and finally the Hussainian Iranian Imambargah. Dozens of medical camps and bookstalls were set up along the procession route, which was blocked by containers in order to avoid any untoward incident. The mourners offered Zuhr prayers near Imambargah Ali Raza at MA Jinnah Road arranged by the Imamia Students Organisation while the participants of the procession broke fast at the Hussainian Iranian after the procession came to an end.
The protestors also staged protest demonstration at M.A.Jinnah Road agaisnt the attack of Wahabi-Takfiri terrorists on shrine of Hazrat Zainab (sa).
