Eid ul Fitar 1433 Hijri
Eid ul Fitar marks arguably the most joyous part of the Islamic calendar as the culmination of a month-long fasting. The three days of celebration that follow Ramadan are filled with communal and familial gatherings. Muslims all over the world commemorate the first day of the Islamic month of Shawwal with a morning prayer, called Salat e Eid. As an obligatory act of charity, a predetermined amount of money is paid to the poor and needy of the community (called Sadaqat el Fitr) before performing the Eid prayer.
On this auspicious occassion of Eid, we send a special prayer to God to hasten the reappearance Al Qaim al Mehdi (A.S) so he can impose God's justice on this world. Also, on this day we pay special tribute to the martyrs of our millat who sacrificed their lives for Islam, and ask that you remember them in your Eid celebrations just as you remember your close relatives.
May God give us the strength and will to continue in the righteous path that we have adopted in the blessed month of Ramadan. Ameen!
